Supervision & Consultation
I am an approved supervisor for the state of Washington (since 2009) and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in good standing (since 2006). In addition to attending the required training approved by the state of Washington, I also completed advanced supervision training through the PhD in Counseling program at Oregon State University. This is both of requirement of the PhD program I am an alumni of, and also meets Oregon state requirements.
I am approved to meet the 100 hour supervision requirement for LMHCA (Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associates) & can meet 100 hours of the 200 hour requirement for LMFTA (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapy). Please contact the Washington State Department of Health to determine is you are an associate in good standing or to set up your associate license.
I require all supervision candidates to meet for (1) an initial information interview and if it is decided that we will work together (2) to carry their own personal liability insurance.
Supervision can be held individually, triadic (2 supervisees per hour), & in group formats.
I provide consultation to all mental health & allied professionals and have specialized knowledge in working with children, adolescents, applying neurobiology to counseling, addiction, yoga, & mindfulness. I lead an ongoing consultation group that supports counselors in applying yoga to clinical practice. Supervisees may attend this consult group with prior approval.
Below is my informed consent for supervision. I am also required by law to provide you with verification that I am an approved supervisor before beginning the supervision process:
