Benefits of Counseling
If you are new to or just looking, I find it helpful to share this with most people I meet with the first time. Studies show that successful counseling is not only about the theory or method that a therapist uses, but also about the relationship between therapist and client. I integrate traditional & modern theories into counseling & also use; meaning that I often share my impressions and thoughts about the "here and now" of the counseling relationship as a way to support clients.
It is important to find a therapist that works best for you. While I hope that I am a good fit for you as a counselor, only you can decide this. Sometimes it takes sitting with a counselor for a session or two to determine this. If I am not a good fit for your counseling needs, then I am happy to refer you to another qualified professional.
If you wish to schedule an appointment to see if I might be a good counselor for you, please review my counseling
