I create a therapeutic environment that supports change, promotes positive choices, and hopefully leads you to a more fulfilling life. Together we can explore grounded and holistic ways to decrease suffering and to remove the obstacles that impede your wellness. 
 
My therapeutic approach includes Psychodynamic Therapy, Interpersonal Psychology, Person Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Brief Strategic Family Therapy, Imago Therapy for couples, Motivational Interviewing, and Body Centered Psychotherapy, Psychodrama, and Multicultural Counseling.
 
I include body and mind practices from my training as a yoga instructor and as a yoga therapist. When working with trauma I encourage my patients to explore Lifespan Integration as a therapeutic option as I am trained in this technique. Lifespan Integration is beneficial for trauma, abuse, dissociation, post traumatic stress, panic attacks, anxiety, and more. 
 
I work with individuals and families with concerns such as adolescent transitions, addiction, eating disorders including binge eating, body image, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, spirituality and life transitions, codependency, gifted adults and children, and chronic illness.
 
My fee is $150.00 for an initial visit, $120.00 per fifty minute session,  and $150 for couples and family counseling. I accept insurance (First Choice, Regence, Lifewise, &  Premera Blue Cross ).
 

 
Hours:
My set hours for patients are from 11am-5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday from 11-4 at my downtown office (120 Pear Street NE). Benefits of Counseling

If you are new to counseling, or just looking, I find it helpful to share this with most people I meet with the first time. Studies show that successful counseling is not only about the theory or method that a therapist uses, but also about the relationship between therapist and client. I integrate traditional & modern theories into counseling & also use a two person approach; meaning that I often share my impressions and thoughts about the "here and now" of the counseling relationship as a way to support clients.

It is important to find a therapist that works best for you. While I hope that I am a good fit for you as a counselor, only you can decide this. Sometimes it takes sitting with a counselor for a session or two to determine this. If I am not a good fit for your counseling needs, then I am happy to refer you to another qualified professional.
